SUMMARY: The Director of IT is responsible for the IT goals and objectives, Service Desk, Workstation Management, Data Center Operations and Telecommunications & Security. This individual will apply skills in the areas of strategy, communication, project management, personnel management, budgeting, auditing, planning, problem-solving and knowledge of best practices for IT initiatives.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Set goals and objectives for the IT department.
- Work to develop IT strategies that support the goals of the entire organization.
- Oversee the performance of the IT Help Desk and ensure customer focus and SLA's are maintained.
- Oversee the procurement and monitoring of PC's, laptops, mobile devices, and all essential tools for a productive end user environment. This also includes system builds, software license management, oversight of browsers, operating systems, critical patches. workstation security and policies including anti-virus software management.
- Oversee the entire data center operation including computer and storage hardware, operating systems, databases, backup and disaster recovery, storage management, growth planning, and server security.
- Manage all aspects of telecommunications and security. Included in this pillar are network planning and management, active directory, telephony, mobile device management, internet access and controls, overall enterprise security including software and physical security technologies.
- Manage internal team and outsourcing partners to deliver reliable, effective, and efficient IT infrastructure and services.
- Stay current on new technology innovations and explore ways to harness new technology to improve processes, services, and cost.
- Take projects from inception to successful implementation to ongoing support.
- Manage the IT budget; monitor spend and ensure alignment with budget.
- Facilitate procurement and payments of IT goods and services.
- Establish strong partnerships with vendors to negotiate contracts, establish service level agreements (SLA's), and ensure contracts are in place to support the services provided by the IT team.
- Manage vendor relationships which includes monitoring performance, containing costs, and driving continuous improvement.
- Plan, direct and design Bull Moose's IT infrastructure, including in-house computer rooms, cloud services, telephony solution, authentication services, networks, and telecommunications.
- As needed, provide hands-on support to solve problems.
- Develop, maintain, and enforce IT policies and procedures.
- Facilities management of IT related services such as computer rooms, network cabling, WiFi, conference room services, telephones and overhead paging, printers, cameras, and security access controls.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Broad knowledge of Information Technology, Network topology, Cloud technology, infrastructure, security, and supported technologies.
- Experience managing an O365 environment including email, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
- Proven leadership, project management, and staff management skills with the ability to direct and oversee the work of others.
- Ability to develop talent, coach and mentor for improved performance and career success.
- Excellent listening, verbal & written communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to represent IT during external or internal audits of IT services, policies and procedures.
- Effective team player with strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, and the ability to influence others.
- Ability to leverage current technologies and external partners to build a best-in-class IT infrastructure.
- Act in a manner of integrity that shows support for the company, its values, and our employees while maintaining a constant focus on meeting/exceeding customer requirements and expectations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 8-10 years of experience in overseeing a mid or large-sized IT infrastructure and associated technologies required.
- 5 years of experience managing an IT team is required.
- Experience managing outsourcing contracts, services and partners required.
- Experience supporting an Enterprise ERP system .
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment .
- Experience deploying, integrating, and securing AI applications within Enterprise environments, including expertise in data governance, model security and user access controls is .
