About the Role:

This person is responsible for delivering excellence in the operation of all computing and communications technology associated with Information Technology applications, communications (network, voice and data) and computing services within the enterprise. As the Director of IT, he or she executes upon our vision and strategy for how technology services are delivered within the enterprise. These areas include the IT Service Desk, Unified Communications (Voice, Chat, Video), Business Application Support, End User Computing, IT Infrastructure and Cloud, Data Center, Information Security and Disaster Recovery. As a Director, he or she will oversee a small, dedicated IT team of 2-3 individuals and manage multiple IT vendor partners.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

(Include the following, other duties may be assigned.)

  • 65% - Provide technical support and leadership while driving continual improvement in the execution of strategic roadmaps focused on the assessment, design, implementation, and support of enterprise infrastructure capabilities and standards related to the following:
    • IT Service Desk
    • Voice over IP/Unified Communications (e.g. Ring Central)
    • Email and Microsoft Exchange 365
    • Data Storage and Databases
    • Windows Servers and Operating Systems
    • End User Computing (desktops/laptops/Windows)
    • Microsoft Office 365 and Active Directory
    • Printers and Operational Processing
    • Data Center Management
    • Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity
    • Networking, Wireless Access Points, Firewalls
    • Printers and Operational Processing
    • Performance Monitoring
  • 15% People Leadership
    • Responsible for the personnel administration of hiring, terminating, performance appraisals, training, career development plans, and salary administration for team members.
    • Create a culture of caring with an emphasis on coaching and accountability within the team.
    • Implement and manage a plan for meeting the staffing requirements to support the IT operational areas listed above for Prospera Credit Union to ensure delivery of IT Services 24x7x365.
  • 10% - Vendor management of technology vendors, including:
    • Vendor proposals
    • Vendor due diligence and strategy
    • Vendor initiation and onboarding
    • Vendor contract management and budgeting
    • Vendor support
  • 10% - Develop, Implement, and Adhere to Key Performance Indicators for:
    • IT Service Desk Delivery
    • IT Operations Delivery
    • Disaster Recovery and Incident Response
    • Information Security / Audit & Compliance

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • 10+ years' IT leadership experience with a proven track record of delivering results while leading infrastructure or equivalent teams in a complex, fast pace environment.
  • 10+ years in-depth technical experience in at least 5 of the following categories:
    • Service Desk Delivery
    • Virtual servers
    • Storage Area Networks
    • Networking
    • Security Infrastructure
    • Microsoft Office 365
    • Exchange 365
    • Distributed Server and Windows Operating Systems
    • Performance Monitoring
  • Bachelor's or Technical School degree in computer science or business with an emphasis in information technology (or related field) or equivalent work experience.
  • Certification in ITIL, Cisco, Microsoft, or ITSM are a plus

SKILLS

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions
