Director of Quality – IES Infrastructure

Position Summary

IES Infrastructure is seeking a strategic and execution-focused leader to build and standardize a comprehensive quality management system across its manufacturing division. This division supports two core business segments:

  1. Fabrication and assembly of generator enclosures for mission-critical data center infrastructure
  2. Reconditioning and repair of large-scale industrial electric motors

This role will operate across multiple locations throughout the United States, driving consistency, transparency, and continuous improvement in quality performance, customer experience, and operational outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Systems & Standardization

  • Design, implement, and lead a unified Quality Management System (QMS) across all manufacturing and repair facilities
  • Establish standardized processes, procedures, and documentation to ensure consistency across locations
  • Develop and enforce quality metrics, KPIs, and reporting frameworks

Multi-Site Leadership

  • Partner with site leaders to drive adoption of quality standards
  • Conduct regular site audits, assessments, and performance reviews
  • Align best practices across fabrication, assembly, and motor repair operations

Customer Experience & Portal Development

  • Lead the development and implementation of a customer-facing portal to provide transparency into project status, quality metrics, and service outcomes
  • Collaborate with IT and operations teams to integrate data systems and reporting tools
  • Enhance customer satisfaction through improved communication, visibility, and responsiveness

Performance Tracking & Analytics

  • Establish systems to track operational and quality outcomes across all sites
  • Analyze data trends to identify systemic issues and opportunities for improvement
  • Develop dashboards and reporting tools for executive leadership

Corrective & Preventive Actions (CAPA)

  • Build and manage a robust corrective and preventive action program across the network
  • Ensure root cause analysis is standardized and effectively executed
  • Drive accountability for issue resolution and long-term prevention

Continuous Improvement

  • Champion Lean, Six Sigma, and other operational excellence methodologies
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce defects, and optimize throughput
  • Foster a culture of accountability, quality ownership, and continuous improvement

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, or related field (Master’s )
  • 10+ years of experience in manufacturing quality leadership, preferably in multi-site environments
  • Experience in heavy industrial manufacturing, fabrication, or electromechanical repair strongly
  • Proven track record of building and scaling quality systems across geographically dispersed operations
  • Strong knowledge of quality frameworks
  • Experience with digital tools, ERP systems, and customer-facing platforms
