About the Team
The SOX function plays a critical role in ensuring the company maintains an effective internal control environment over financial reporting (ICFR). The team partners closely with Finance, Operations, IT, and Legal to drive compliance, strengthen processes, and support the company's growth and transformation.

About the Role
The Director of SOX – Business Process will lead the end-to-end SOX program, overseeing control design, testing, remediation, and continuous improvement across business processes. Reporting to the Senior Director of SOX, you will guide both internal teams and co-sourced partners, collaborate deeply with process owners, and shape the maturity of our internal control environment. This role is highly cross-functional and offers the opportunity to build scalable processes, drive automation, and influence the company's control landscape as we grow.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field; CPA, CIA, or CISA strongly .

  • 10+ years of Internal Audit and SOX compliance experience, ideally including both Big 4 and in-house SOX leadership roles.

  • Proven experience designing, implementing, and managing SOX programs, preferably in pre-IPO or newly public high-growth technology companies.

  • Demonstrated success in navigating deficiency assessments, root-cause analysis, and timely remediation.

  • Experience refining, optimizing, and automating control environments while maintaining compliance.

  • Track record of leading and developing teams of SOX/internal controls professionals.

  • Strong project management capabilities with the ability to drive accountability and cross-functional execution.

  • Ability to work effectively with external auditors and co-source partners.

  • Experience working with AuditBoard.

  • Experience leading SOX programs during periods of rapid organizational change.

  • Background supporting change-management efforts and control-design updates.

  • Experience advising business partners on process improvements and automation opportunities.

The base salary range for this role is $165,000 to $242,000. The starting salary will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location. We strive for both market alignment and internal equity when determining compensation. In addition to base salary, our total rewards package includes a discretionary bonus, equity awards, and a comprehensive benefits program (all based on eligibility).

Our Workplace

While we prioritize a hybrid work environment, remote work may be considered for candidates located more than 30 miles from an office, based on role requirements for specialized skill sets. New hires will be invited to attend onboarding at one of our hubs within their first month. Teams also gather quarterly to support collaboration
