Our client, a recognized leader in the construction and engineering design industry, is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Document Control Manager to join their team on a full-time basis in San Francisco, CA. Ideal candidates will have experience establishing, administering and continuously improving document/data management systems, standards, procedures and compliance processes. The Document Control Manager oversees the systems, standards, quality, compliance and controlled issuance of project documentation for large-scale design and construction projects, coordinating closely with project managers, engineers, consultants and contractors. The salary range is $90,000 - $110,000.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop, manage, and enhance document and data control systems, recordkeeping procedures, standards and associated compliance practices.

• Administer SharePoint project sites, including document workflows, user access, version management and project compliance controls.

• Maintain consistent processes for collecting, filing, distributing, reviewing, versioning and formally releasing project documentation

• Examine contract and construction documentation to confirm internal and external project deliverables meet established requirements and standards.

• Recognize documentation that does not meet requirements, assess potential solutions and recommend corrective action.

• Coordinate the preparation, quality review, and official release of design packages, including drawings, specifications, basis of design documents, reports and other project materials.

• Participate actively in design and construction project team activities.

• Train project team members on document control processes and practices.

• Monitor project deliverable schedules and internal meeting calendars to identify documentation needs.

• Create and maintain standardized templates, document formats, reporting tools and design deliverable libraries using Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and G-Suite products to promote consistency and adherence to organizational standards.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• At least 5 years of direct Document Control Management experience. Large-scale design and construction project experience is strongly .

• Four-year degree . A two-year technical degree supplemented by coursework or seminars in engineering change control, change requests, contract administration, or project management is also acceptable.

• Working knowledge of contracts and construction.

• Experience supporting mission-critical/data center design projects Understanding of applicable codes, standards and construction/engineering practices.

• Detail-oriented with the ability to identify errors and take appropriate action.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, SharePoint, ProCore, Autodesk Forma, G-Suite and other file management software.

• Self-motivated and proactive professional with demonstrated ability to work independently and contribute effectively within a team.

• Strong customer service and interpersonal abilities, with experience communicating effectively with both internal and external business partners.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• May be tasked with lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling up to 15-25 lbs., if able to do so.

• Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time and walk/stand for moderate periods of time.

• Must be able to bend at the knees and waist frequently

• Must be able to repetitively use a telephone and a computer mouse and keyboard.
