Electrical Account Manager – Service

Location: Fairfax County, VA

Salary: $100,000 – $120,000 + Commission (Up to $150k OTE)

Full-Time | Local Travel Across Northern Virginia

About the Job

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Account Manager to join a fast-growing, mission-critical infrastructure company in Northern Virginia. This is a unique opportunity for a licensed electrician to transition into a client-facing sales role — bringing real technical credibility to every client conversation.

The Role

As an Electrical Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing client relationships, driving service revenue, and overseeing the successful delivery of mission-critical electrical and mechanical service projects.

You will use your hands-on electrical background to accurately scope work, support field technicians, and build trusted, long-term relationships with clients, while identifying opportunities to grow the business across electrical, HVAC, and data center services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor for service needs
  • Generate new leads and business opportunities to support company growth
  • Prepare detailed estimates covering labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors
  • Conduct on-site visits with clients and technicians to scope and oversee service delivery
  • Identify and execute cross-sell and upsell opportunities within the service portfolio
  • Negotiate and manage service contracts and agreements
  • Ensure all service activities comply with OSHA, NFPA, and company safety standards
  • Represent the client at industry events and networking opportunities

What We're Looking For

  • Active Journeyman Electrician License (or higher) in Virginia is
  • 5+ years of hands-on field experience in commercial, industrial, or data center electrical work
  • 1–2 years of sales or account management experience, ideally selling services
  • Data center experience in a build, service, or sales capacity
  • Strong knowledge of critical power systems: UPS, switchgear, and generators
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders
