Job Description
The overall objective of the Electrical Assembler position is to provide high quality craftsmanship in all electrical assembly techniques to contribute to a team focused on achieving industry leading cycle time, delivering superior quality, and assisting in reducing per unit costs to drive operational success. Consistent and accurate representation of the Mission Critical Group brand, mission, vision, values, and organizational strategy are essential to achieving the goals of the organization.
Accountabilities
- Demonstrates a basic level of proficiency in executing workmanship on production projects including large line-ups and complex sections in all areas of assembly. Installing all types of electrical components and devices onto pans and into enclosures per drawing packages, assembly guides, and instructions defined by the Engineering Department.
- Prep and install electrical components, switches, meters, breaker cells, breakers, nameplates, sensors, etc. by reading and comprehending drawing packages, layouts and documents with supervision, to efficiently build customized equipment in order to meet and exceed deadlines.
- Perform daily tasks with safe and proper use of equipment and tools. overhead cranes, pallet jacks, tilt tables, saw horses, stools, ladders, drills, hand tools, air and electric power tools, tape measures, etc.
- Interpret and apply basic electrical manufacturing knowledge and principles while reading specifications to make determinations on component parts, methods and sequencing.
- Maintain a safe, clean and well-organized work area by complying with safety procedures, rules, quality standards and best practices, and relying on pre-established guidelines or directions from senior team members to perform tasks optimally.
- Maintain operational excellence by completing necessary paperwork for tasks such as Quality Check Lists.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required Knowledge / Experience
- 3+ months of experience assembling electrical switchboards from a drawing package in our manufacturing facility.
- Production and Processing: Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
- Mechanical: Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance. Tools include: screw drivers, ratchet and sockets, wrenches, torque wrenches, cutters, tape measure, band saw, air and electric power tools, drills, inspection mirror, etc.
- Active Listening: The ability to give full attention to when others speak and taking time to understand the points being made; asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
- Verbal & Written Communication Skills: The ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand and the ability to communicate information and ideas in writing so others will understand.

1 year of experience working in an electrical apprenticeship, as an electronic repairman, or HVAC installer.
Education

Work Environment and Physical Demands
- This is a FLSA non-exempt position paid on an hourly basis. Overtime may be required based on production demands, including extended shifts, weekends or holiday.
- This role is based on the production floor. This position requires standing for extended periods, working around machinery, and adherence to all safety and compliance standards.
- Mobility: Ability to move around the manufacturing plant, including walking, standing, and climbing stairs.
- Manual Dexterity: Occasional use of hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.
- Lifting: Ability to lift and carry items up to fifty (50) pounds. All lifting should be done following OSHA standards.
- Visual and Auditory Requirements: Must be able to see and hear well enough to navigate the plant safely and communicate effectively with team members.
