Electrical Assembly Technician – PDU / RPP Wiring
Position Summary
We are seeking skilled Electrical Assembly Technicians to support the build and wiring of Power Distribution Units (PDUs) and Remote Power Panels (RPPs) used in mission-critical power and data center applications.
This role is responsible for panel wiring, component installation, and electrical assembly in accordance with engineering drawings, UL standards, and company quality requirements.
Pay Range
$26.00 – $32.00 per hour
Compensation based on experience, technical skill level, and demonstrated electrical assembly capability.
Key Responsibilities
· Perform electrical wiring and assembly of PDUs, RPPs, and related power distribution equipment
· Read and interpret electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and wiring layouts
· Install breakers, bus systems, transformers, meters, CTs, SPDs, and control components
· Route and terminate power and control wiring per drawings and work instructions
· Perform point-to-point wiring verification and quality checks
· Support electrical testing, energization, and troubleshooting activities
· Maintain workmanship standards consistent with UL and NEC requirements
· Follow all safety procedures and manufacturing best practices
· Assist with continuous improvement and build efficiency initiatives
Required Qualifications
· 2+ years of electrical panel wiring or industrial electrical assembly experience
· Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
· Experience terminating power and control conductors
· Familiarity with hand tools, torque tools, and electrical test equipment
· Strong attention to detail and workmanship quality
· Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Qualifications
· Experience building PDUs, switchgear, MCCs, or control panels
· Knowledge of UL 891 / UL 508A assemblies
· Data center or mission-critical power experience
· Electrical trade school or apprenticeship background
· Experience with medium or large frame breakers (Schneider, ABB, Eaton, etc.)
Physical Requirements
· Ability to stand, bend, and work around electrical enclosures
· Lift up to 50 lbs as required
· Work safely around energized test environments when authorized
