A rapidly growing engineering and manufacturing organization is seeking an Electrical CAD Drafter / Designer who can produce clean, accurate, build‐ready electrical drawing packages for modular power systems and industrial energy projects. Role Overview
This position focuses on developing complete electrical drawing packages for modular electrical buildings, Power Distribution Centers (PDCs), and MV/LV industrial power systems. You’ll work closely with engineers and project managers to support the design, fabrication, and delivery of critical power infrastructure used in data centers, oil & gas, and emerging energy sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Create high‐quality electrical drawing packages for PDCs, MERs/PCRs, and industrial power systems
- Develop one‐lines, three‐lines, wiring diagrams, and interconnect schedules
- Produce equipment layouts for switchgear, MCCs, UPS systems, VFDs, and transformers
- Draft cable tray routing, conduit plans, grounding, and bonding layouts
- Collaborate directly with engineers and project managers throughout the design cycle
- Redline, revise, and finalize drawings for construction‐ready packages
- Ensure all drawings meet accuracy, quality, and industry standards
- Support coordination with fabrication teams as needed
What You Bring
- Strong AutoCAD proficiency (required)
- 3+ years of experience in electrical drafting or design
- Experience with PDCs, modular electrical buildings, or similar systems
- Understanding of MV/LV power distribution and industrial electrical layouts
- Ability to interpret schematics, interconnects, and installation constraints
- High attention to detail and ability to produce fabrication‐ready drawings with minimal oversight
Bonus Points If You Have
- Experience with AutoCAD Electrical or SolidWorks Electrical
- Background in data centers, oil & gas, or industrial power
- Experience developing interconnect schedules or control wiring diagrams
- Familiarity with NEC, NFPA, and related electrical standards
- Exposure to fabrication shops or modular construction environments
