Electrical Commissioning Engineer
Onsite Role | £450-£500 per day | ⏳ 4-Month Contract
We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Engineer to support a busy data centre project through a peak delivery phase. This is a boots-on-the-ground role - you'll be out in the field all day commissioning and tagging, with minimal office time.
Role Details:
Start: Beginning of October (potential to start earlier)
Duration: 4 months (project delivery through end of January)
Location: Onsite
Rate: £450-£500 per day (outside IR35)
Responsibilities:
Hands-on commissioning, tagging, and walkdowns (W2).
QA/QC checks as part of walkdowns.
Working closely with the Commissioning Manager (who will handle documentation and project push).
Focused on systems including Generators, UPS, Busbars, and related critical infrastructure.
Requirements:
Proven commissioning experience across L1 to L3 stages.
Strong background in mission-critical / data centre environments.
Comfortable working independently, taking ownership of site-based commissioning tasks.
Able to support QA/QC and ensure high standards of delivery.
This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to focus purely on hands-on commissioning without being tied up in paperwork, while helping deliver a high-profile project to a critical deadline
