Location: Portsmouth / UK South\n\nContract Type: Permanent or Contract\n\nSector: Infrastructure Projects\n\nStart Date: November 2025\n\nSynergy Mission Control Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrical Commissioning Manager to support our expanding portfolio of Data centre & Infrastructure projects. With projects across the South Coast and London, this permanent role offers flexibility, autonomy, and the chance to work with a forward-thinking team delivering high-performance electrical systems across cutting-edge environments.\n\nWhat You’ll Be Doing\n\nLead Commissioning Activities: Plan, execute, and oversee the commissioning of electrical systems including LV and MV distribution, UPS systems, generators, switchgear, and power monitoring systems. All delivered within the L1-L5 ASHRAE (where applicable) Commissioning framework as per Data Centre industry standards.\n\nSystem Validation: Perform functional testing, calibration, and performance verification of electrical installations to ensure compliance with design intent, safety regulations, and operational standards.\n\nTroubleshooting & Resolution: Identify issues during commissioning and collaborate with engineers and contractors to implement timely and effective solutions.\n\nDocumentation & Handover: Produce detailed commissioning reports, maintain test records, and support client handover with clear performance data and compliance documentation.\n\nClient Liaison: Act as the commissioning point of contact for clients, providing updates and technical insights throughout the process.\n\nWhat You’ll Bring\n\n * Proven experience in electrical commissioning for commercial, industrial or infrastructure projects.\n\n * Strong knowledge of electrical distribution systems, UPS, generators, and power monitoring.\n\n * Ability to interpret electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and technical specifications.\n\n * Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.\n\n * An emphasis on safety and regulatory compliance across the project.\n\n * Confident communicator with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.\n\n * Right to work in the UK.\n\n * Data centre experience is a plus, but not essential.\n\nWhy Work for Synergy Mission Control?\n\n * Be part of a dynamic team driving innovation in smart building technologies with a very healthy pipeline of projects going into 2026.\n\n * Permanent contract with market leading pay rates and benefits.\n\n * A structured onboarding process, setting you up for success from the start of your Synergy journey.\n\n * Opportunity to work on high-profile projects across the South of England and beyond.\n\n * Supportive project environment with a focus on quality, safety, collaboration and sustainability.\n\nIf you're ready to bring your commissioning expertise to a company that values smart solutions and technical excellence, we’d love to hear from you.
