About the Role:

We are currently seeking an Electrical Estimator to analyze blueprints, specifications, and project scope to create detailed, cost estimates for materials, labor and equipment required to perform design-build electrical construction projects in data center and mission critical environments. Responsibilities include preparing bids, collaborating with project managers. Ideal candidates have strong analytical skills, experience with estimating software, and knowledge of electrical codes. This role involves analyzing project requirements, interpreting construction drawings, and developing written estimates while working closely with project managers, vendors and field teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong knowledge of electrical materials pricing, associate labor, and suitable vendors, as well as the ability quickly to deliver precise bid packages.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Analyze Blueprints: Review electrical drawings, specifications, and, if required, and, if required, CAD/BIM models to determine project scope and draft RFI submissions.
  • Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for electrical systems (low and medium voltage) supporting data centers and manufacturing facilities.
  • Develop labor and material pricing based on historical data and vendor quotes.
  • Use Accubid to build accurate estimates and Bluebeam for digital takeoffs and markups.
  • Issue RFQs and RFPs with vendors and subcontractors
  • Develop strong relationships with vendors and subcontractors.
  • Prepare bid packages and proposals with comprehensive cost breakdowns.
  • Coordinate with executive management, project managers, engineering, and field personnel to ensure continuity between estimate and project execution.
  • Participate in bid reviews and project kick-off meetings.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of estimating experience in the electrical construction industry.
  • Prior experience with Accubid and Bluebeam.
  • Familiarity with construction management platforms and tools (e.g., Procore, PlanGrid, Revit, or CAD).
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
  • Strong understanding of Electrical Code and standard installation practices.
  • High level of attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PDF editing software.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Professional, courteous, and responsive in both internal and external communications.
  • Self-driven and proactive with a commitment to learning and development.
  • High school diploma or GED required, associate degree or technical training in construction, electrical technology, or related field .
