Electrical Construction Supervisor

Are you an electrical supervisor with building services experience such as rail stations or data centres?

Do you possess an SSSTS certification (or above) and a CSCS Black Card?

Location: Newport (Site-Based)
Rate: £300 per day Outside IR35
Contract Length: 4 months (strong likelihood of extension)
Start Date: Immediate
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 5:00pm + weekends (rate uplift)

An M&E subcontractor is currently seeking an experienced Electrical Construction Supervisor to support the delivery of a large-scale project in Newport. This is an excellent opportunity to join a specialist contractor working on critical infrastructure within a fast-paced and high-profile environment.

This is a non-working supervisory role, where you will act as a key support to the Construction Manager, ensuring smooth coordination between site teams and project management. You will split your time between the site office and live construction environment, playing a crucial role in maintaining programme, quality, and communication across the project.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the Construction Manager in the day-to-day coordination of site activities
Act as the link between site teams and office-based project staff
Read and interpret technical drawings, schedules, and specifications
Support QA processes, including use of project-specific software systems
Monitor site progress and assist in maintaining programme delivery
Ensure works are carried out in line with quality and safety standards
Assist with general site coordination and communication across multiple stakeholders
Essential:

Qualified Electrician with Gold Card
Proven experience working on building services projects (e.g. stations, data centres)
SSSTS/SMSTS/CSCS Black Card
Previous experience in a supervisory or management role
Strong IT literacy, including Microsoft Office
Ability to quickly learn and use project-specific software systems
Desirable:

Experience supporting QA processes on major projects
