Our client is a specialist engineering consultancy delivering advanced Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health (MEP) design for high-density, high-reliability environments.
They support major hyperscale and colocation data-centre projects across Europe and the Middle East.
They are now seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to support the delivery of electrical systems across a range of technically complex projects.
About the Role
The Electrical Design Engineer will contribute to the design and development of electrical systems under the guidance of senior engineers. You will support project delivery by producing technical documentation, assisting with calculations, and working collaboratively across disciplines.
This is a hands-on role suited to an engineer looking to further develop their technical skills within a fast-paced, high-performance environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the design of electrical systems including power distribution and lighting.
- Produce engineering calculations, layouts, schematics, and supporting documentation.
- Support the development of specifications and technical reports.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated designs.
- Participate in design meetings and internal reviews.
- Assist with site visits and construction-stage support activities.
- Ensure work is delivered in line with project requirements and industry standards.
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Electrical Engineering (or related discipline).
- Typically 2–5 years’ experience in electrical design within building services.
- Exposure to complex or large-scale projects is beneficial.
- Understanding of electrical design principles and relevant standards.
- Familiarity with design software and BIM environments is advantageous.
- Strong willingness to learn and develop within a technical environment.
