Are you a seasoned Electrical Design Engineer and ready for the next step in your career?\n\nOur client, a well-established construction, engineering, and architecture consultancy, offers a collaborative environment where your technical skills and expertise can help develop the built environment. On a contract basis, outside IR35, you will be required to work remotely, but will be required to attend our client's office, located near Oxford, once a week. Within this position, you will have the opportunity to build your growing portfolio with a variety of Data Centre projects.\n\n-Competitive hourly rate of £45-£55 (depending on experience).\n\n-Remote working arrangements (office presence once).\n\nResponsibilities:\n\n-Assist the design and delivery stages within complex Data Centre projects, from concept through to design, with a focus on electrical process elements.\n\n-Conduct extensive electrical load calculations, lighting design, equipment allocation and selection, and distribution drawings, ensuring alignment with current regulations.\n\n-Produce concise specifications and drawings using relevant software, such as Revit and AutoCAD, whilst working with other professionals ensuring system integration.\n\n-Conduct site visits, commissioning, and inspections, allowing for installation reviews, troubleshooting issue identification, as-built alignment, and quality assurance.\n\n-Support sustainability through producing design strategies, ensuring that low carbon, electrical solution resilience, and energy efficiency are being implemented.\n\n-Keep up to date with industry progressions and apply them into projects.\n\nRequirements: \n\n-Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.\n\n-Extensive experience with producing design for electrical building services systems, for a multitude of Data Centre projects.\n\n-Proficient understanding of lighting, life safety systems, LV systems, and fire alarms.\n\n-Strong understanding of software tools, such as Revit, AutoCAD, and other design platforms, like Amtech, Dialux and/or Relux.\n\n-Acknowledgement of current Building Regulations, RIBA design phases, and Building Services standards.\n\n-Effective communication and collaborative skills, with a detail orientated and proactive mindset
