The Role We Want You For

The Electrical Designer will be responsible for developing detailed electrical installation drawings and conceptual designs across diverse industries. This role involves creating comprehensive design deliverables—including power distribution, lighting, and low voltage system layouts—utilizing Revit, AutoCAD, and industry codes like the Electrical Code.

This is an opportunity to contribute professional-quality drawings for client projects, collaborating closely with engineers and project teams in a dynamic environment.

The Specifics of the Role

  • Develop and prepare detailed electrical installation drawings.
  • Consult with lead engineers and review project design requirements.
  • Develop conceptual or detailed electrical designs in power distribution, lighting, and low voltage systems for a variety of industries.
  • Electrical design deliverables include electrical one lines, power and lighting plans, electrical site plans, special systems plans, & grounding plans.
  • Develop Revit and AutoCAD 3D & 2D models.
  • Apply knowledge of the Electrical Code and applicable building codes to design projects.
  • Analyze mechanical and architectural designs by reviewing equipment general arrangement drawings and building floorplans.
  • Produce professional quality drawings that will be issued to clients for permitting and construction.

Requirements

  • Associates or technical degree
  • 1-5+ years of applicable electrical design experience.
  • Working knowledge of Electrical Code and Building Codes
  • Proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD.
  • Strong knowledge of the Electrical Construction industry.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Products including Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communications skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
