Electrical Engineer\nBirmingham, West Midlands \n£40,000 - £45,000\n\nWe've got a stand out role for an Electrical Engineer based in Birmingham, to join a market leader within commercial maintenance, providing the opportunity to work in a critical environment, be provided on-going training, and exposure to critical plant equipment!\n\nFor this Electrical Engineer position, you'll carry out PPM and reactive maintenance on electrical systems, troubleshoot, assist in site shutdowns, ensure all compliance tasks are carried out, ensure all works are in regulations to SFG20 standards and ensure all critical systems are working efficiently.\n\nElectrical Engineer Duties:\n\nPerform Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on critical electrical and mechanical systems \nConduct High Voltage (HV) and Low Voltage (LV) isolation and switching operations in compliance with site safety procedures \nOperate and maintain Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems, standby generators, HV/LV infrastructure, and precision cooling systems \nMonitor and control Building Management Systems (BMS) and SCADA systems to ensure stable and efficient plant operations \nCarry out daily plant checks, scheduled inspections, and comprehensive fault diagnostics \nSupport the creation and execution of switching schedules, ensuring strict adherence to safety standards \nCollaborate with shift teams to respond to system alarms, equipment failures, and operational escalations \nMaintain accurate records, including operational logs, work permits, and statutory documentation \nElectrical Engineer Requirements:\n\nQualified in electrical installations / engineering (City and guilds / NVQ / EAL or equivalent) \n3 years experience in commercial property maintenance (Minimum) \nLive in commutable distance to site  \nCritical experience (Banking or Data Centre) - Desirable, not essential  \nSalary and Package:\n\n£45,000 per annum  \nLow Voltage training + AP status provided \nMonday - Friday, 8am - 5pm  \n25 days annual leave + Bank holidays \nJoin a market leading firm  \nOn going training  \nOvertime available  \nInternal progression  \nIf you're interested in the Electrical Engineer position above, apply today!\n\nPosted by Alex Clark
