Responsibilities/Expectations:
- Leads the design, implementation, and optimization of electrical systems and power distribution networks supporting critical infrastructure such as pipelines, compressor stations, and storage facilities
- Champions the integration of advanced technologies including automation, real-time monitoring, and energy storage to enhance system performance and reduce operational costs
- Implements robust safety measures such as arc flash mitigation and fault detection systems to protect personnel and ensure infrastructure reliability
- Provides technical expertise in power distribution, electrical schematics, and system layouts for both new construction and upgrades to existing facilities
- Manages complex engineering projects from concept to completion ensuring alignment with business goals timelines and budget constraints
- Ensures compliance with all relevant safety, environmental and regulatory standards across electrical systems and project execution
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to deliver engineering solutions that meet internal and external customer needs
- Mentors and supports the development of junior engineers fostering technical growth knowledge sharing and a culture of continuous improvement
- Understanding of power system design, analysis, and simulation (e.g., ETAP, MATLAB, PSCAD, Simulink or similar tools)
- Knowledge of high-voltage equipment, transformers, generators, and switchgear
- Understanding of grid integration and renewable energy systems
- Experience in managing procurement processes for electrical equipment and materials, with established industry contacts for sourcing reliable vendors and suppliers
- : Experience in overseeing the (FAT) commissioning, testing, and startup of electrical equipment to ensure proper functionality and compliance with design specifications
- Other duties as assigned
Education/Years of Experience:
- Required: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering field from an ABET accredited college or university, OR Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Technology from an ABET accredited college or university in a relevant field with Professional Engineer (P.E.) license (Highly ) and eight (8) years engineering experience in natural gas, data centers or related industry
- : PE License
- : Master's degree in electrical engineering
Job Requirements:
- Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as a main priority
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Application and PC skills?
- Proficiency in reviewing arc flash studies and implementing improvements
- Working knowledge of electrical design codes (NEC, NEMA, API, IEEE, etc.)?
- : Experience with PLCs?
- : Project Management experience?
- ?: Experience working in Preliminary-Front End Engineering and Design (Pre-FEED), Front End Engineering Design (FEED), or Engineering, Procurement, Construction (EPC) of small to medium facility projects
- : Proficiency in designing, and implementing, Instrumentation systems, including Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and Human Machine Interface (HMI) systems
Shift/Work hours/Travel Requirements:
- Must be willing to travel up to 50%
