Job Description:

The Electrical Estimator is responsible for developing accurate and competitive cost estimates for electrical projects, including industrial, commercial, data center, and semiconductor facility construction. This position requires a deep understanding of electrical systems, construction methods, drawings, specifications, and current market pricing to ensure all proposals are detailed, precise, and aligned with project objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and bid documents to prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates.
• Develop and maintain accurate cost databases for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractors.
• Analyze design documents for constructability, value engineering opportunities, and scope alignment.
• Solicit and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing and compliance with scope.
• Collaborate with project management, engineering, and procurement teams during bid preparation and post-award transitions.
• Prepare comprehensive bid proposals, including scope letters, clarifications, and inclusions/exclusions.
• Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and client presentations as needed.
• Maintain current knowledge of industry trends, pricing, and technologies relevant to electrical construction.
• Assist with project change orders, budget updates, and cost control efforts as required.

Qualifications:

• Degree in related electrical and / or construction management or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in electrical estimating within the construction or EPC industry.
• Strong understanding of NEC, industry standards, and construction methodologies.
• Proficiency in estimating software (such as Accubid, Trimble, or Bluebeam) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to estimate process pipe, architectural, and civil a plus.
• Possess the necessary English skills, both verbally and in writing, to effectively perform the responsibilities of the position.

Experience

• Experience estimating projects in semiconductor, industrial, or data center sectors.
• Familiarity with design-build or EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) environments.
• Knowledge of low-voltage, medium-voltage, and controls systems.
