Electrical Estimator – Industrial Construction
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Electrical Estimator to join our growing industrial construction team. This role is critical to the success of our preconstruction and bidding efforts across large-scale industrial and commercial projects throughout the Northeast and Southeast.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience estimating industrial electrical construction scopes including power distribution systems, conduit and cable installations, switchgear, PLC and controls systems, instrumentation, lighting systems, MCCs, and industrial electrical infrastructure. Candidates with prior field experience as an Industrial Electrician, Electrical Foreman, Superintendent, Project Manager, Controls Electrician, or multi-craft electrical tradesman are strongly .

Office Location & Travel Expectations
This position is ideally based out of our:
Franklinville, NJ Headquarters
Gibsonville, NC Office
However, we are open to considering highly qualified candidates for:
- Remote work arrangements
- Hybrid schedules
Please note:
- Travel will likely be required for site visits, pre-bid walkthroughs, client meetings, and project support
- Candidates should be comfortable traveling to active industrial construction job sites as needed
Responsibilities
- Review project plans, specifications, bid packages, and technical drawings to prepare accurate electrical estimates and proposals
- Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for labor, material, equipment, controls systems, cable tray, conduit, switchgear, transformers, lighting systems, and subcontracted work
- Develop comprehensive cost estimates for:

- Industrial power distribution systems
- Conduit installations (EMT, Rigid, RobRoy/OCAL, PVC-coated systems)
- Cable tray and bus duct installations
- PLC and controls systems
- Motor control centers (MCCs)
- Switchgear and transformer installations
- Instrumentation and controls wiring
- Lighting and power systems
- Industrial shutdowns and maintenance projects
- Underground electrical infrastructure
- Analyze project scope, schedule requirements, labor productivity, and material pricing
- Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotations
- Coordinate with project managers, operations teams, and field leadership during bid development
- Conduct occasional site visits and pre-bid walkthroughs
- Prepare bid summaries, scope clarifications, exclusions, and value engineering recommendations
- Assist with project turnover meetings after award
- Track estimate performance and support continuous improvement initiatives
- Support change order pricing and cost analysis during project execution
Work Environment & Schedule
- Full-time position
- 40+ hours per week
- Must be willing to work overtime as project demands require
- Fast-paced industrial construction environment supporting multiple active bids and projects
- Occasional evening or weekend work may be required during major bid deadlines

Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in electrical estimating, industrial construction, or electrical project management
- Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems and installation methods
- Prior field experience in one or more of the following roles strongly :

- Electrical Superintendent
- Controls Electrician
- Project Manager
- Multi-craft Electrical Tradesman
- Ability to read and interpret:

- Electrical drawings
- One-line diagrams
- Control schematics
- Panel schedules
- Equipment layout drawings
- Specifications and bid documents
- Strong knowledge of labor productivity, installation sequencing, and industrial construction workflows
- Experience pricing labor, equipment, subcontractors, materials, and controls scopes
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking

- Construction takeoff and estimating platforms
