Position Overview
The Electrical Estimator will be responsible for developing accurate and competitive project bids. This role involves analyzing plans and specifications, performing detailed takeoffs, coordinating with vendors and subcontractors, and working closely with project managers and the preconstruction team. The ideal candidate has experience estimating mid- to large-scale commercial and institutional projects and is eager to step into a high-growth environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for electrical projects, typically $10M and above.

• Review drawings, specifications, and scope documents to determine labor, material, and equipment needs.

• Perform quantity takeoffs and maintain accurate cost databases.

• Solicit, review, and evaluate subcontractor and vendor proposals.

• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and operations during the bid process.

• Present finalized bids and proposals to leadership for review.

• Support turnover meetings to ensure seamless transition of awarded projects.

• Identify value engineering opportunities to enhance competitiveness.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in electrical estimating (commercial, institutional, or healthcare projects ).

• Familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam, and Accubid (required).

• Strong ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and contracts.

• Knowledge of NEC codes and construction standards.

• Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.

• Track record of success on projects ranging from $5M–$20M+.
