We're looking for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician ⚡ to join a leading UK Facilities Management company on a prestigious critical commercial site in the City of London. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a high-profile environment, maintaining essential building services while benefiting from long-term career progression and ongoing training.
What you'll be doing:
✔️ Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across electrical and building services systems ⚡
✔️ Fault finding, diagnosing, and repairing electrical systems and controls
✔️ Maintaining HVAC, lighting, emergency lighting, power distribution, UPS systems, and associated plant equipment ️
✔️ Responding promptly to breakdowns and emergency call-outs
✔️ Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with Health & Safety and compliance procedures
✔️ Updating maintenance records and completing all required documentation accurately
✔️ Working closely with the engineering team and maintaining excellent client relationships
What we're looking for:
✔️ City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 Electrical Qualification (or equivalent) ⚡
✔️ 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
✔️ Experience within commercial building services or facilities maintenance
✔️ Strong fault-finding and electrical maintenance skills
✔️ Ability to work effectively within a continental shift team
✔️ Excellent communication and client-facing skills
⭐ Desirable:
✔️ Experience in critical environments such as banking, data centres, or high-profile commercial buildings
✔️ HV/LV knowledge or switching experience ⚡
Shift Pattern:
4 Days On, 6 Days Off
4 Nights On, 4 Days Off
3 Days On, 3 Nights On, 4 Days Off
Shift Times:
Days: 07:00 – 19:00
Nights: 19:00 – 07:00
⏱️ Average 42 hours per week (1-hour unpaid break)
