Pay & Schedule

• $34/hour + $100/day per diem
• Up to 56 hours per week available
• Long-term project with strong growth potential

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated Electrical Construction Project Engineer to support large-scale commercial and industrial electrical projects. This role will support three major data center projects in Columbus, working closely with project management and field teams to ensure successful execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers with daily coordination, scheduling, and project documentation
• Review electrical drawings, specifications, RFIs, and submittals
• Track project progress, material deliveries, change orders, and cost impacts
• Support field teams by identifying issues and coordinating effective solutions
• Maintain project logs, meeting minutes, and closeout documentation
• Collaborate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal project teams
• Conduct site walks to verify progress, quality, and safety compliance
• Assist with project reporting, schedules, and forecasts
• Support estimating efforts, takeoffs, and bid documentation as needed

Qualifications

One of the following is required:

• 2+ years of experience in electrical construction or a related role
  OR
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or a related field

Additional Requirements:

• Basic understanding of electrical systems and construction processes
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (project management or estimating software is a plus)
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites
