Job Title\nElectrical Project Engineer\nRole Summary\nElectrical project Engineer is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of electrical building services and data centre projects, covering power, lighting, and connectivity across essential and non-essential systems. The role combines technical engineering and project management to survey, design/size, specify, quote, and deliver works through installation, testing, commissioning, and handover, ensuring full compliance with relevant standards and client requirements. The postholder also provides formal electrical sign-off where required and supports energy efficiency and net-zero initiatives across the portfolio\nProject Management & Leadership\n * Own end-to-end delivery of electrical building services and data centre projects.\n * Lead site teams and subcontractors to meet safety, quality, and programme requirements.\n * Build and manage programmes, lookaheads, resources, and shutdown/out-of-hours activities.\n * Coordinate client/PC/FM/IT stakeholders and manage interfaces in live environments.\n * Run project controls: progress reporting, risks/issues, RFIs, and document control.\n * Resolve delivery and technical problems quickly, escalating where required.\n * Drive right-first-time quality, snag closure, and compliance to standards.\n * Maintain commercial control: cost tracking, variations, and supporting records.\n * Provide leadership, coaching, and consistent standards across the delivery team.\nKey deliverables\n * Survey, engineer, size, and produce clear scopes, proposals, and quotations for power, lighting, and connectivity works.\n * Approved programme and two-week lookahead maintained, with resources aligned to key milestones.\n * Procurement plan in place; materials/equipment ordered, tracked, and delivered to suit programme.\n * Safe delivery on site with RAMS/permits/safe isolations implemented and recorded.\n * Installation delivered to spec with inspections completed, snag lists raised, and close-out evidence captured.\n * Testing, commissioning, and certification completed (BS 7671 as applicable), with formal electrical sign-off where authorised.\n * Client handover pack issued on time: O&Ms, as-fitted/redlines, test results, warranties, and asset data.\n * Commercial records maintained: progress measures, cost tracking, and fully substantiated variations/changes.\n * Sustainability outcomes delivered where in scope (e.g., LED/controls upgrades, energy-efficiency measures, renewable integration support)\nQualifications and Experience Required\n * Full UK Driving License\n * ECS Card\n * Commercial awareness\n * Experience with the installation of LED lighting and controls\n * Hands-on experience with UPS systems (AC/DC), battery installations, LV/ELV power systems, and general electrical infrastructure\n * NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.\n * C&G/EAL Current BS7671 Wiring Regulations\n * City & Guilds 2360\n * City & Guilds 2391 or EAL equivalent in Inspection and Testing\n * Proven experience in project planning, programme coordination, or project support role\n * Demonstrated ability to survey, engineer, size, and design electrical systems
