Job Details

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have experience in Mission Critical Facilities design and construction and have a degree in Electrical Engineering. This is a hands-on, technical role for someone who is a creative problem solver. You will be the general contractor for the projects you manage.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee project management and provide technical engineering support for large enterprise expansion projects.
  • Prepare designs, specifications, and drawings for the repair, replacement, or upgrade of building electrical, mechanical, and related systems. Manage the RFP process.
  • Lead project teams and subcontractors to ensure timely, high-quality, budget-friendly, and safe project completion while meeting client satisfaction goals.
  • Organize project management activities, including budget review, schedule updates, and establishing communication standards.
  • Offer consulting services by evaluating building systems and providing recommendations for improvements.
  • Build strong client relationships and identify new project opportunities. Maintain a network with local contractors.

Pre-construction:

  • Manage the preparation of designs and RFPs for the repair and upgrade of electrical systems. Oversee contract awards and activity through completion.

Project Management:

  • Provide construction administration for system repairs and upgrades. Coordinate subcontractors to ensure proper installation and service delivery.
  • Collaborate with clients and vendors to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to specifications.
  • Keep detailed records of all installed systems and components.

Consulting/Owner’s Rep:

  • Analyze and evaluate building electrical and mechanical systems, emphasizing power, lighting, safety, and security.
  • Prepare and review reports, identifying necessary actions and cost estimates.
  • Provide engineering and project management support for data center operations. Troubleshoot emergencies and oversee resolutions.

Operations Support:

  • Provide ongoing technical support and manage vendor relationships.
  • Continue building a local contractor network.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in planning, scheduling, and organization.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, Project, and AutoCAD.
  • Travel as needed for project requirements.
