ELECTRICAL PROJECT MANAGER – HEALTHCARE & DATA CENTER

 

Join a leading, employee-owned electrical contracting firm delivering high-value, complex electrical projects across the Charlotte and Raleigh metro areas. We have multiple openings for:

  • Healthcare Facilities Electrical PM – Charlotte & Raleigh area
  • Data Center Electrical PM – Charlotte metro area

This is a hands-on leadership role requiring direct experience working with electrical contractors or project owners. Knowledge of Acuview software is a plus. Key Responsibilities

  • 5–10+ years managing electrical construction projects in healthcare, data center, colocation, or mission-critical environments is a MUST.
  • Manage electrical construction projects with budgets over $1M, ensuring quality, safety, and schedule compliance.
  • Review and manage electrical drawings, specifications, BIM/VDC models, and change orders. Knowledge of Acuview software is a PLUS.
  • Maintain project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, daily logs, quality alerts, inspections, and safety compliance.
  • Schedule, coordinate, and oversee subcontractors and on-site personnel.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, facility managers, engineers, architects, and subcontractors.
  • Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA 70, and other applicable industry codes and standards.

Project-Type Specific Responsibilities:

  • Healthcare Facilities:
  • Lead projects involving hospital-grade MEP installations, emergency power, UPS, and critical branch wiring.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare-specific codes, life safety, and infection control requirements.

 

  • Data Centers:
  • Lead projects with medium/high-voltage systems, UPS, switchgear, generators, and redundant/emergency power systems.
  • Ensure uptime and redundancy per Uptime Institute Tier standards or client specifications.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record leading high-value, complex electrical projects.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, layout, and code compliance.
  • Hands-on leadership, problem-solving, and team coordination skills.
