Electrical Shift Engineer – Data Centre - Doxford, Sunderland - £46,330

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Shift Engineer to join a critical data centre environment in Doxford, Sunderland. This is a hands-on role responsible for ensuring the safe and continuous operation of electrical systems within a highly resilient, mission-critical facility

Key Responsibilities

* Operation, monitoring, and maintenance of electrical systems within the data centre

* Responding to alarms, faults, and incidents in a timely and professional manner

* Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works

* Supporting switching activities and HV/LV systems (training provided where required)

* Ensuring all works comply with health & safety and site procedures

* Accurate completion of logs, reports, and shift handovers

About You

* Strong electrical engineering background, ideally within critical environments (data centres, hospitals, utilities, or similar)

* Relevant electrical qualifications

* Comfortable working 12-hour day/night shift patterns

* Ability to work under pressure in a critical environment

* Eligible to pass security clearance

Salary: £41,000 + 13% Shift Allowance (£5,330)
Total Package: £46,330
Additional: £1,500 for attaining HVAP status
Shift Pattern: 12-hour shifts – 2 days, 2 nights, 4 off
Security: Must be able to pass security clearance
