Job Title: Electrical Technician – Mission Critical Manufacturing (Data Center Infrastructure)
Location: Arlington, Texas
About the Opportunity
The rapid growth of cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and digital infrastructure has created unprecedented demand for mission critical power systems and data center infrastructure. A leading electrical manufacturing organization in the Dallas–Fort Worth area is seeking skilled Electrical Technicians to support the production and testing of electrical systems used in some of the most advanced data centers in the country.
This role offers the opportunity to work in a high-tech manufacturing environment focused on power distribution systems, electrical assemblies, and mission critical infrastructure that support hyperscale and enterprise data centers. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, safety-focused, and comfortable working with electrical components, schematics, and production equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble, wire, and install electrical components and systems used in mission critical infrastructure, including power distribution assemblies and electrical panels.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams to ensure accurate system assembly and configuration.
- Perform electrical terminations, routing, and installation of wiring and components according to project specifications and quality standards.
- Support testing and troubleshooting of electrical systems to verify proper functionality and compliance with design requirements.
- Assist with quality inspections and documentation throughout the manufacturing and production process.
- Follow established safety procedures, lockout/tagout practices, and standard operating procedures in a manufacturing environment.
- Work collaboratively with engineers, supervisors, and production teams to maintain efficient workflow and meet project deadlines.
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, testing results, and material usage.
- Travel to various sites within the United States (60%-80% travel)
Qualifications
- 1–5 years of experience in electrical assembly, electrical manufacturing, military, or industrial electrical work.
- Experience reading and interpreting electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and wiring diagrams.
- Familiarity with electrical components such as breakers, relays, transformers, motors, and control systems.
- Experience performing electrical terminations, wiring, and troubleshooting of low- and medium-voltage systems.
- Understanding of electrical safety standards and lockout/tagout procedures.
- Ability to work with hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment supporting mission critical infrastructure projects.
- Ability to travel 60%-80%
Qualifications
- Experience working with data center infrastructure or mission critical power systems.
- Electrical certifications or technical training (trade school or apprenticeship).
- Knowledge of UL standards, industrial manufacturing processes, or panel assembly.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
This position operates primarily within a manufacturing and production facility environment supporting electrical infrastructure used in mission critical operations.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work at production stations for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to work with tools and electrical components while maintaining a safe work environment.
- Use of required personal protective equipment (PPE) including safety glasses, gloves, and protective footwear.
