  • Responsible for the design verification of Enterprise Copper products as they relate to DC and high-frequency electrical properties.
  • Perform testing and qualification functions regarding all aspects pertinent to both customer needs and relevant industry standards.
  • Provide direct technical support to production by qualifying test adapters/fixtures and components per test requirements.
  • Develop adjustment methods based on performance category and lot numbers.
  • Support the transition of products from concept and prototyping into full-scale production, ensuring manufacturing readiness and process stability.
  • Write software to automate the measurement processes.
  • Keep current knowledge on relevant standards that govern OCC products.
  • Maintain data and reports generated from testing.
  • Work closely with other departments within OCC, such as marketing or sales, to supply information on specific products as needed.
  • Develop and maintain internal relevant testing procedures, equipment, and processes.
  • Create drawings, CAD models, printed circuit board layouts.
  • Support entry of product from concept and prototyping into production.
  • Assemble prototypes and sample lots of products for performance testing.
  • Evaluate test results on products.
  • Determine pass-fail conditions for cable and connector products by performance category.
  • Promote OCC’s service excellence and quality.
  • Provide excellent service to customers; build strong relationships and team cohesiveness; focus on quality and positive solutions; communicate respectfully; demonstrate compassion and understanding in response to customer requests/needs.

Experience you will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical or related Engineering or Associates Degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Equivalent experience in the Test and Measurement field is also acceptable.
  • Excellent knowledge of vector network analyzers or other complex laboratory equipment.
  • An understanding of EMI and/or wave propagation theory is desirable.
  • Experience or education in programming.
  • Proficiency in Matlab is also desirable.
  • Excellent computer skills required with familiarity and skill in software packages including Microsoft Word, Excel, and HTML.
  • Experience designing in an engineering environment and with PC-based schematic capture and development software.
  • Ability to plan, layout, and execute complex work programs, functions, and operations.
  • Ability to understand and implement quality procedures.
  • Excellent math and handwriting skills required and the ability to correctly complete all paperwork.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required with the demonstrated ability to express oneself clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and with minimal supervision.
  • Pay close attention to detail with the ability to complete assignments accurately, and to recognize, record, and help resolve problems.
  • Able to organize, complete tasks, and manage time.
