Location: Itasca, IL
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Pay Rate: $28 – $30/hr + 20 hrs/week overtime (time and a half)
Contract: Contract-to-Hire (6 months) with strong likelihood of conversion!
Total Earning Potential: $1,430 – $1,535/week (base + OT) | $74,360 – $79,820 annually
Position Overview:
A leading custom automation manufacturer is seeking skilled Industrial Electricians to support a rapidly growing workload across industrial machinery. This is a hands-on role focused on machine wiring, control panel assembly, and electrical integration of automated systems. The company offers steady work, long-term contracts, and 20+ hours of weekly overtime, making it an ideal opportunity for electricians looking to earn strong income while growing with a stable, expanding organization.
You’ll work closely with engineers and mechanical teams to wire PLCs, install control systems, troubleshoot complex electrical setups, and help deliver high-quality machinery to major tech clients.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform machine and enclosure wiring based on schematics and diagrams.

Install, wire, and troubleshoot control panels, sensors, relays, drives, and PLC systems.

Run conduit, pull wire, and install high- and low-voltage systems.

Collaborate with engineering and assembly teams to ensure quality and on-time delivery.

Follow electrical codes and safety procedures in an industrial setting.
Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED.

3+ years of experience as an Industrial Electrician in a manufacturing or machine build environment.

Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics.

Strong hands-on experience with machine wiring and PLC connections.

Familiarity with motors, drives, relays, and control systems.
Experience:

Experience with 480V 3-phase systems.

Background in industrial automation or PLC programming.

Skilled in conduit bending and installation.

Strong focus on safety and compliance.
