Operating as part of the Grid Technology Framework, we are seeking an ambitious Electrician to help drive the business forward during an exciting phase of growth.\n\nThis role is ideal for a motivated Electrician with proven experience working across industrial, data centre, and critical electrical environments. You will be part of a skilled team delivering complex electrical and security installations for high-profile clients nationwide.\n\nRole Overview\n\nAs an Electrician, you will work closely with Project Managers and Engineers to deliver high-quality electrical and security installations across industrial and commercial sites.
The position involves installation, testing, inspection, and maintenance of electrical systems, including CCTV and Access Control, while ensuring all work meets the required standards and regulations.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nCarry out electrical installations and maintenance as directed by the Project Manager or Engineer\n\nInstall, test, and maintain electrical systems including CCTV and Access Control infrastructure\n\nConduct inspections of electrical components, wiring, and containment systems\n\nPerform testing, fault finding, and remedial works on industrial electrical installations\n\nInstall containment, cabling, and associated accessories\n\nEnsure compliance with BS7671 and company quality procedures\n\nMaintain accurate records and communicate effectively with internal teams and clients\n\nTravel across the UK as required to support ongoing projects\n\nEssential Competencies\n\nCity & Guilds NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation\n\nCity & Guilds 2391-52 Testing and Inspection\n\n17th or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations\n\nCSCS / ECS Card\n\nManual Handling certification\n\nFull UK driving licence (UK travel required)\n\nAbility to pass background and drug screening checks\n\nAdvantageous Qualifications\n\nSCO 1 & 2 (Gas)\n\nSCO 91 (Gas)\n\nNational Grid Person / Competent Person (Substation)\n\nEUSR Safety, Health and Environmental Awareness – Gas\n\nEmergency First Aid at Work (EFAW)\n\nIPAF / PASMA certifications (training can be provided)\n\nIdeal Candidate Profile\n\nA confident and capable Electrician with experience in CCTV and Access Control systems\n\nStrong background working on industrial and commercial electrical installations\n\nExcellent communication, time management, and problem-solving skills\n\nProfessional, safety-conscious, and detail-oriented in all work\n\nCapable of working independently and representing the business on major UK infrastructure projects\n\nYou will be an integral part of the Cyber and Technology Team, ensuring all electrical and security works are delivered safely, diligently, and to the highest professional standards.
