Position Overview

American Jereh is seeking an experienced E-Frac Field Service Electrician to support the commissioning, operation, troubleshooting, and repair of E-Frac equipment throughout the Midland and Odessa area.

This position requires hands-on electrical experience, sound field judgment, and the ability to respond to equipment failures that affect customer operations. The electrician will work with E-Frac units, power distribution units, electrical controls, medium-voltage systems, and related field equipment.

The selected candidate must live in, relocate to, or establish a reliable residence within the Midland area and participate in the required field callout schedule.

Responsibilities

Field Service and Troubleshooting

  • Independently diagnose and repair electrical and control-system issues on E-Frac and related oilfield equipment.
  • Support equipment commissioning, startup, testing, field operations, and corrective maintenance.
  • Respond to operational electrical failures and help restore equipment to service.
  • Perform field inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and equipment modifications.
  • Support equipment rig-up, rig-down, testing, and preparation for deployment.

Electrical and Power Systems

  • Troubleshoot and maintain 480V and medium-voltage electrical systems.
  • Work with power distribution units, switchgear, motor control centers, transformers, electrical panels, grounding systems, and cable assemblies.
  • Diagnose PLC, VFD, control-box, flowmeter, and electrical communication issues.
  • Perform continuity, insulation, cable, grounding, and other required electrical tests.
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, one-line diagrams, and testing procedures.
  • Follow lockout/tagout, electrical safety, and equipment-isolation requirements.

Customer and Operational Support

  • Serve as a field technical representative during equipment troubleshooting and repair activities.
  • Communicate equipment condition, repair status, and operating limitations to customers, operators, technicians, and field leadership.
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Field Operations, and After-Sales Service when additional technical support is required.
  • Maintain a professional presence at customer locations.

Documentation and Improvement

  • Complete service reports, inspection records, repair documentation, and maintenance records.
  • Document faults, corrective actions, parts used, testing completed, and equipment return-to-service status.
  • Provide field feedback regarding recurring failures, equipment reliability, and potential design or operational improvements.
  • Support the training and development of E-Techs and equipment operators when assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Hands-on electrical experience supporting industrial, oilfield, power-distribution, or field-service equipment.
  • Working knowledge of 480V electrical systems, panels, transformers, grounding systems, cable testing, and equipment repairs.
  • Experience reading electrical drawings and following written testing and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Ability to isolate electrical faults and complete repairs accurately and safely.
  • Ability to work independently while coordinating with technicians, operators, Engineering, and field leadership.
  • Knowledge of lockout/tagout and electrical safety procedures.
  • Ability to work outdoors and in active oilfield operating environments.
  • Ability to participate in nights, weekends, holidays, travel, and emergency callouts as required.
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to live in or establish reliable residence within the Midland/Odessa area.

Technical Qualification Requirements

Before unrestricted solo deployment, the selected candidate must demonstrate qualification in:

  • 13.8kV and medium-voltage/high-voltage systems
  • Switchgear and transformer troubleshooting
  • VFD diagnostics
  • PLC and control-system troubleshooting
  • Electrical cable and grounding testing
  • Safe fault isolation and equipment return-to-service procedures
  • Independent customer-site field response

Qualifications

  • Current or previous experience with American Jereh equipment.
  • Direct experience supporting E-Frac units and power distribution units.
  • Experience with control boxes, PLC components, flowmeters, and TJB cable systems.
  • Oilfield commissioning, startup, rig-up, rig-down, and corrective-maintenance experience.
  • Electrical Apprentice Certification or higher electrical qualification.
  • Experience leading a small technical crew.
  • Experience training electrical technicians or equipment operators.
  • Commercial Driver’s License.

Work Requirements

  • Full-time, field-based position.
  • Based in Midland, Texas, with service coverage throughout the Midland/Odessa region.
  • Regular customer-site travel and callout participation are required.
  • Must be able to work around energized electrical equipment, heavy machinery, noise, heat, dust, and changing weather conditions.
  • Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment and comply with all site safety requirements.
