Engineering Manager – Leading FM Provider – Essex - 65k + Package\n\n Would you like to work for one of the leading maintenance providers in the UK? \n\n Have you got a proven track record with the technical facilities and maintenance services industry?\n\n Have you got experience of working in a hospital environment?\n\n If so please read on...\n\n An excellent opportunity has arisen to join one of the UK's leading companies in the facilities industry.\n\n They currently maintain a number of facilities and maintenance contracts and are looking for an Engineering Manager to work in a high profile hospital contract based in Essex.\n\n The main purpose of the job will be to ensure that technical operations within the buildings and estate are maintained to a very high standard. \n\n The role will also be responsible for managing the maintenance team of six multi-skilled engineers on site and also dealing with external subcontractors. \n\n The Engineering Manager will also need to maintain the site's PPMs to 100% completion at a high quality level, ensure compliance and health and safety are conducted to a high standard and also make sure the asset register is updated on a routine basis.\n\n Other on site duties will also include:\n\nManage all technical issues across the buildings.\nManage agreed KPI and SLA’s.\nResponsible for managing the company’s H&S and environmental performance on each site.\nPlan and implement building shutdowns and basic client project works.\nResponsible for managing the company’s quality procedures on each site.\nRecruitment of any new staff required on sites.\nResponsible for the technical development of all staff, which will include annual appraisals.\nManagement of client relationships on a daily basis.\nManagement of all reports.\nManage any additional business opportunities that will deliver client satisfaction and increase contract sales revenue.\nResponsible for the permit system.Applicants for this role must be able to demonstrate the following:\n\nQualified in electrical or mechanical engineering discipline; C&G, HNC, HND or higher.\nStrong understanding of building management systems.\nStrong technical engineering understanding.\nPrevious HV experience.\nPrevious experience of managing engineering teams.\nExperience of service delivery in high profile financial offices or critical data centres.\nAbility to communicate both verbally and in writing with all levels of staff and clients.\nAbility to manage and prioritise a demanding and varying workload.\nAbility to deliver projects on time and on budget
