We are looking for a Data CenterEngineering Operations Technician to join our expandingInfrastructure Operations team. Data Center Engineering OperationsTechnician is a hands-on electrical and mechanical equipmenttroubleshooting and operation responder.

Your work will help to maintain one of the world'slargest information system infrastructuresKey job responsibilities•SAFETYFollow and maintain the highest safety standards anddiligently encourage a world-class safety culture. As a facilityowner team, ensure remediation of safety risks/issues inconjunction with other teams.

Own the safety initiatives andprojects to foster strong safety culture.• ENGINEERING &FACILITY OPERATIONS AND MAINTENANCEOperational experience andfamiliarity with electrical and mechanical equipment, includingUninterruptable Power Supplies (UPS’s), Switchgear, CircuitBreakers, Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS's), Diesel Generators,Chillers, Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning (HVAC), ExhaustFans, Variable Frequency Drives (VFD's), and Transformers. oTroubleshoot events within internal Service Level Agreements(SLA’s)o Take daily operational readings of all mechanical andelectrical equipment through routine rounds/log-taking(temperatures, voltages, currents, etc.)o Supervise contractor orEngineering Operations Technicians to ensure proper operation andmaintenance of all facility equipment.o Driving continuousimprovement efforts on infrastructure through standardization ofprocedures and policies, while delivering performance againstagreed metrics.o Provide training and guidance to EngineeringOperations Technicians and assist inrecruiting efforts.o Lead theroot cause analysis for operational issues, and conduct meetingswith Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to finalize mitigationstrategies.Physical requirements• Manual handling and lifting ofequipment may be required (weight limits in accordance withregulations).• Ability to work shifts (morning, late and night) •On-call rotation reaction to off-duty emergency calls • Work atheights and from ladders; in a noisy environment with earprotection • Perform physical tasks during the shift About theteamDiverse ExperiencesAWS values diverse experiences. GRUNDQUALIFIKATIONEN· Apprentice/trades certified or diplomain an Electrical field · Demonstrate key electrical competencies(Practice & Theory) Knowledge of mechanical systems(Mechanical, HVAC systems, Controls) Good EnglishBEVORZUGTEQUALIFIKATIONEN3+ years of experience in operations and on-callsupport for Data Center facilities / or Mission Critical Plants/Production facilities · An undergraduate degree in a technicalfield (EE, MechE, IndustrialE); · Project Management experience.Willing to travel between Data center sites, and internationally ifrequired · Solid IT skills; experience and knowledge of MS Officesuite.Amazon is an equal opportunities employer.
