Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Engineering Project Manager I to support the installation and delivery of critical infrastructure projects. This entry-level role is ideal for recent graduates or early-career professionals looking to build a career in engineering project management while gaining hands-on experience in IT and data center environments.

You will assist with managing smaller projects, perform technical field work, and collaborate closely with technicians, engineers, and project managers to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform battery and component installations in IT and data center environments following established safety and quality standards
  • Support and manage smaller critical infrastructure projects
  • Assist with site assessments, scheduling, and project documentation
  • Design and support equipment installation processes based on technical requirements
  • Test installed equipment to ensure proper operation prior to site departure
  • Explain equipment functionality and operation to customers professionally
  • Accurately complete work orders, service reports, time logs, and related documentation
  • Assist in identifying and promoting additional equipment or services when appropriate
  • Maintain assigned company equipment in safe operating condition
  • Represent the company professionally at customer sites
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications

  • Any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required skills
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT, Construction Management, or a related field (recent graduates encouraged to apply)
  • Hands-on experience in IT environments or data centers (internships or technical coursework accepted)
  • Knowledge of structured cabling systems is a plus
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish or other ) is a plus
  • Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong customer service mindset
  • Proficiency with computers and ability to learn multiple software systems
  • Willingness to travel approximately 50% (may vary by project)

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 60 lbs independently
  • Ability to work at heights using ladders, lifts, or scaffolding
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and kneel for extended periods
  • Ability to work in environments that may be hot, cold, or noisy
  • Regular use of hand and finger dexterity
  • Ability to sit at a computer for extended periods when required
