Compensation: $45.00 – $50.00/hour 1,000 Weekly Per diem
Position Summary
SAVI EHS is seeking an experienced Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager to support an EMP (Electrical/Mechanical/Plumbing) team on a large-scale data center construction project in Frederick, MD.
This role is ideal for a safety professional with previous electrical experience and strong credentials (OSHA 30, OSHA 510, OSHA 500, CHST, CSP, etc.) who is passionate about maintaining an injury-free workplace while collaborating closely with trade partners, field crews, and project leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and enforce EHS compliance across all EMP-related site operations.
- Conduct and document daily inspections, hazard analyses, and corrective actions.
- Provide site-specific safety orientations for EMP and trade personnel.
- Lead incident investigations, identify root causes, and implement solutions.
- Partner with project leadership to promote a strong safety culture.
- Ensure EMP trade contractors adhere to project-specific EHS plans.
- Track and analyze leading/lagging indicators to prevent future incidents.
- Confirm all EMP workers are properly trained, licensed, and qualified.
- Facilitate safety meetings and toolbox talks with trade partners.
- Act as the point of contact between site operations and the client’s safety team.
- Deliver specialized safety training as required (e.g., LOTO, arc flash, confined space).
Qualifications
- 5+ years of construction safety experience (data center and EMP work highly ).
- Previous field experience as an electrician or in electrical safety management.
- OSHA 500 required; OSHA 510, CHST, CSP, ASP, or other advanced safety credentials .
- Degree in Occupational Safety, Construction Management, or related field ( but not required).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and digital reporting platforms.
- Strong communication, leadership, and conflict resolution skills.
