EHS Manager – Data Center Construction (General Contractor)

Location: On-site

Project Duration: 12 months

Compensation: $45–$50 per hour (hourly)

We are seeking an experienced Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager to support and represent the General Contractor on an active data center construction project. This position will provide on-site EHS management and oversight for daily construction activities and subcontractor operations throughout the 12-month project duration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site EHS management support on behalf of the General Contractor
  • Implement and maintain the project-specific Safety Plan in accordance with OSHA and client requirements
  • Monitor subcontractor safety performance and compliance with project expectations
  • Conduct routine site inspections, safety audits, and field observations
  • Review JSAs, AHAs, lift plans, permits, and other high-risk activity documentation
  • Support site safety meetings, orientations, and toolbox talks
  • Assist with incident, near-miss, and injury investigations and corrective action tracking
  • Maintain safety records, inspection logs, training documentation, and reports
  • Coordinate with project management, superintendents, client representatives, and subcontractor safety staff
  • Support high-risk construction activities including crane operations, rigging, electrical work, and LOTO

Qualifications

  • CHST, ASP, or CSP certification (required)
  • 5–7 years of construction safety experience, preferably in data center, mission-critical, or large commercial construction
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1926 standards
  • Experience working within a General Contractor environment
  • Strong communication and field coordination skills
  • Ability to work full-time on site for the duration of the project
