Due to Company growth, we are we are actively seeking an experienced EPC Estimator who will support engineering, procurement, and construction projects for high voltage utility, renewable interconnection, and data center projects by developing accurate, competitive estimates for transmission line and substation work. This role plays a key part in early project planning, proposal development, and cost forecasting, ensuring our teams have the information needed to deliver safe, reliable, and cost-effective solutions for our clients.

Role Expectations:

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for EPC projects, with a focus on transmission lines and substations.
  • Analyze engineering drawings, specifications, and project scopes to determine labor, material, and equipment requirements.
  • Develop quantity takeoffs and cost breakdowns for civil, structural, electrical, and construction project components.
  • Collaborate with engineering, project management, procurement, and construction teams to validate assumptions and refine estimates.
  • Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotes to support pricing accuracy.
  • Support proposal development, bid reviews, and client presentations as needed.
  • Maintain historical cost data and contribute to continuous improvement of estimating tools and processes.
  • Assist in risk identification, value engineering, and constructability reviews during the estimating phase.

What we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field ( but not required).
  • 2–5+ years of estimating experience in utility, EPC, renewables, or heavy industrial environments.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Prior estimating experience in the transmission and distribution sector, ideally with EPC or design-build projects.
  • Familiarity with power delivery industry standards, construction methods, and material requirements.
  • Proficiency with estimating software, Excel, and quantity takeoff tools.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, one-lines, site plans, and construction documents.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced proposal environment.

Pay Range $110,000—$150,000:

The salary range for this role considers a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to technical ability, experience and training, licenses and certifications, and other related skillsets. The disclosed range is an estimate and has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
