European Technical Sales Manager – Data Centre Construction\n\nCardiff CF3/ Remote/ European Travel\n\nPermanent \n\nOur client is a well-established and highly respected global Manufacturing company who are looking for a new European Technical Sales Manager to join their team.\n\nThe successful candidate will develop and grow market presence within the European data centre and emerging construction sectors, positioning a portfolio of high-performance building envelope and construction products as the specification choice.\n\nThe role focuses on technical, specification-led sales, building long-term relationships with architects, contractors, developers, and consultants, and converting early-stage project engagement into secured business across Europe.\n\nTechnical Sales Manager Benefits:\n\nSalary of £70,000 but negotiable based on experience\n\nCompany Car, laptop, mobile\n\nUp to 10% yearly bonus based on company performance \n\nFlexible hours you can choose upon your start e.g. 8am – 4pm/ 8.30am – 4.30pm/ 9am – 5pm\n\nPermanent, stable role within a growing organisation during an exciting period of expansion\n\n24 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays, saving between 2 and 3 days for a 2-week Christmas shutdown\n\nDeath in Service scheme\n\nPension, 4% employee + 5% employer\n\nCompany Events and long Service Awards, award given from 5 years on in 5-year increments\n\nModern, beautiful offices with free parking directly outside\n\nFree Tea and Coffee\n\nTechnical Sales Manager Duties:\n\nMarket & Relationship Development\n\nBuild and maintain strong professional relationships with Architects and Design Practices, main Contractors and Design & Build Contractors, Data Centre Developers and end users, Consultants, Engineers, and Specialist Subcontractors\n\nEstablish effective routes to market across assigned European regions\n\nRepresent the business at client meetings, design reviews, and project discussions\n\nPosition products as the technical and commercial solution at specification stage\nSales & Pipeline Management\n\nIdentify and develop a robust pipeline of data centre and emerging sector projects\n\nTrack opportunities from early design through to construction and completion\n\nWork closely with internal sales teams to ensure alignment and project ownership\n\nDeliver agreed revenue growth within the sector\nTechnical & Compliance Support\n\nUnderstand regional building regulations and compliance requirements\n\nWork with internal technical teams to support testing, certification, and approvals\n\nProvide technical input to support product specification and system selection\n\nAct as a technical liaison between clients and internal stakeholders\nReporting & CRM\n\nMaintain accurate project and contact records within the CRM system\n\nProduce regular reports on Pipeline activity, forecasted revenue and sector performance\n\nSupport continuous improvement of CRM data quality and reporting processes\nCollaboration & Leadership\n\nWork closely with Operations, Technical, Marketing, and Finance teams\n\nSupport and guide regional sales colleagues with sector insight and project intelligence\n\nContribute to the development and execution of sector strategy\n\nTechnical Sales Manager Essential Experience/ Skills:\n\nProven experience in technical sales, specification sales, or business development within Construction products, Building envelope systems, Façades, cladding, insulation, roofing, or similar\n\nStrong understanding of the construction project lifecycle\n\nExperience working with architects, contractors, and consultants\n\nCommercially aware with an understanding of pricing, margins, and profitability\n\nStrong analytical and reporting skills\n\nConfident user of CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools\n\nAble to work independently across multiple regions\n\nComfortable with regular European travel\n\nIf you are interested and have the relevant experience, please apply with an up-to-date copy of your CV.
