Position Overview
The Executive Director is responsible for leading large-scale hyperscale data center programs and overseeing operational execution across multiple regions and projects.
This role is not administrative — it is execution-driven. The Executive Director serves as the senior operational authority for complex mission-critical engagements, ensuring:
- Accelerated energization and commissioning
- Portfolio-level visibility and reporting
- Financial discipline and GMP control
- Program recovery when required
- Alignment between field execution and executive client expectations
This position mirrors the operational depth of a COO but is focused entirely on project delivery excellence and hyperscale infrastructure execution.
Core Responsibilities
1. Program & Portfolio Oversight
- Lead multi-site hyperscale data center programs.
- Oversee project controls, scheduling strategy, and financial management.
- Ensure portfolio visibility across risk, schedule, and budget metrics.
- Standardize delivery frameworks across regions.
2. Speed-to-Market & Commissioning Leadership
- Direct L3–L5 commissioning strategies and startup sequencing.
- Drive workflow compression and multi-shift execution.
- Accelerate energization timelines while maintaining safety and quality.
- Oversee integrated systems testing and operational turnover.
3. Financial & Contractual Authority
- Lead GMP buyouts and contract negotiations.
- Maintain P&L accountability for major program portfolios.
- Implement value engineering and cost optimization strategies.
- Recover delayed or distressed projects and restore performance alignment.
4. Executive Client Advisory
- Serve as senior liaison to hyperscale and Tier 1 data center operators.
- Provide executive-level reporting and strategic oversight.
- Align program execution with client SLAs and long-term infrastructure plans.
- Support pursuit strategy and expansion of key accounts.
5. Organizational Leadership
- Mentor and develop Area Directors and senior Project Managers.
- Build scalable operational systems and performance dashboards.
- Strengthen TWG’s internal commissioning and execution standards.
- Drive continuous improvement across delivery teams.
Required Qualifications
- 20+ years in mission-critical or hyperscale data center construction.
- Proven leadership of multi-phase campus builds (20MW–50MW+).
- Extensive commissioning and startup experience (L3–L5).
- Executive-level financial oversight of $35M–$75M+ portfolios.
- Demonstrated ability to accelerate schedule and recover at-risk projects.
- Deep understanding of hyperscale client environments.
- Strong executive presence with both field credibility and board-level communication skills.
