Facilities Manager
Location: El Paso, TX

Work Arrangement: Onsite

Note: Flexibility to support a 24/7 operational environment, including on-call rotations and occasional weekends or holidays

Job Overview

The Facilities Manager is responsible for overseeing the operation, maintenance, reliability, and security of critical infrastructure across data center facilities. This role ensures uninterrupted operations while supporting client onboarding, service delivery, infrastructure upgrades, and overall facility performance.

The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with leadership capabilities and experience managing mission-critical environments such as data centers, telecommunications facilities, or similar infrastructure operations.

Must‐Haves

• Bilingual: English and Spanish

Previous Facilities Management experience in:

• Data Centers
• Telecommunications
• Critical Infrastructure environments

Technical experience with:

• Electrical systems
• HVAC systems
• Power distribution
• UPS systems
• Generators
• Fire suppression systems
• Environmental controls
• Leadership and personnel management experience
• Budget management experience
• Project management experience

Familiarity with:

• OSI Model
• Network Fundamentals
• OTDR testing equipment
• Fiber optic systems

Proficiency with:

• Google Workspace
• Microsoft Office Suite

Qualifications

• Associate Degree or higher in:
• Telecommunications Engineering
• Electrical Engineering
• Mechanical Engineering
• Related Technical Field
• Data center infrastructure management experience
• Fiber optic infrastructure experience
• Critical facilities operations experience

Key Responsibilities: Facilities & Infrastructure Management

• Oversee daily facility operations and critical infrastructure systems
• Electrical systems
• HVAC systems
• UPS systems
• Generators
• Fire suppression systems
• Physical security systems
• Ensure operational reliability and uptime across facilities
• Support outside plant infrastructure, including fiber maintenance and patrol activities

Maintenance & Reliability

• Develop and manage preventive maintenance programs
• Minimize unplanned downtime through proactive maintenance planning
• Monitor facility performance and equipment reliability
• Coordinate repairs, upgrades, and infrastructure improvements

Compliance & Safety: Ensure compliance with:

• Safety regulations
• Environmental regulations
• Building codes
• Industry best practices
• Develop emergency response procedures
• Support safety initiatives and operational standards

Vendor & Project Management

• Manage vendor and contractor relationships
• Oversee maintenance contracts and service providers
• Lead facility upgrades, renovations, and infrastructure projects
• Support customer onboarding and service delivery projects

Financial Management

• Develop and manage facility operating budgets
• Forecast maintenance and capital improvement expenses
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiencies

Team Leadership

• Lead and support Data Center Technicians
• Conduct one-on-one meetings and performance evaluations
• Set goals and monitor team performance
• Coach, mentor, and develop team members
• Identify training and development opportunities
• Foster collaboration, accountability, and teamwork

Reporting & Documentation

• Maintain facility records, maintenance documentation, and performance metrics
• Prepare operational reports and management updates
• Track compliance and maintenance activities
• Analyze performance metrics and identify improvement opportunities
