Role Overview

The Facilities Electrical Engineer is responsible for the design, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of electrical infrastructure supporting server manufacturing operations. This role ensures reliable power distribution, minimizes downtime, and drives efficiency across all facility electrical systems while maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and maintain facility electrical systems, including:
  • Medium and low voltage power distribution
  • Switchgear, transformers, UPS systems, and generators
  • Electrical panels, breakers, grounding systems
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues impacting production and uptime
  • Design and support electrical infrastructure for production lines, test systems, and facility upgrades
  • Develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs
  • Monitor load capacity, power quality, and system performance
  • Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions
  • Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA, OSHA, and safety standards
  • Partner with vendors, contractors, and internal teams on upgrades and expansion projects
  • Mentor and support junior technicians

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering ()
  • 4+ years of experience in industrial or facility electrical systems
  • Strong knowledge of power distribution, controls, and troubleshooting
  • Experience supporting manufacturing environments or critical infrastructure
  • Ability to analyze, design, and support electrical systems and circuits

Qualifications

  • Experience in server manufacturing, data centers, or high-volume environments
  • Experience with UPS systems, generators, and backup power systems
  • Knowledge of automation systems or PLC integration
  • PE or EIT certification
  • Experience mentoring or training technicians
