Summary Objective

The Facility Maintenance Helper assists in performing routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting equipment and machinery to ensure optimal operation. Support skilled tradespeople (electricians, plumbers, HVAC technicians) in complex repair tasks, providing tools, materials, and hands-on assistance as needed.

• Participate in the inspection of buildings, facilities, and equipment to identify repair needs and safety hazards.
• Facilitate the setup and breakdown of company events or meetings by arranging furniture, setting up equipment, and ensuring appropriate cleanup.
• Execute minor repairs on building structures, including patching walls, painting, and fixing door handles. Help in maintaining outdoor areas by performing landscaping and exterior cleaning.
• Manage inventory of maintenance supplies and tools, ensuring availability and condition for use.
• Perform emergency custodial duties in the event of spills, leaks, or other immediate cleanliness or safety concerns.

Work Location

This position will be located out of our Manufacturing Facility in Jacksonville, FL.

Work Environment
This position operates out of a manufacturing facility. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is sometimes exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 3:00pm - 1:30am.

Required Education and Experience.

• Basic math and skills.
• Experience operating small hand tools and power tools.
• Experience working in a maintenance position or similar skillset.
• Experience with small custodial work in a commercial setting.

Education and Experience

• 1+ Years’ experience with facility maintenance
• 1+ Years’ experience in custodian work

Work Authorization
Must be authorized to work in the USA.
