Job Summary - The Technician I supports all aspects of telecommunication installations including the construction and maintenance of telecommunication structures, cables and data centers ensuring that work is performed in the safest manner possible with delivering a high-quality product to our customers.
Job Duties:
- Working on communications equipment and projects. May include installing, testing and repairing structures and equipment.
- Takes direction from crew Foreman ensuring safety and quality standards are met while adhering to project budgets and timeline.
- Review documentation with Foreman to prepare for the build, assemble the necessary materials, and determine the required installation methods.
- Help supervise the tracking of all on-site inventory and materials.
- Perform inspections, inventories, and audits as needed.
- Collect, review, and submit all on-site closeout documentation per the deliverable timelines.
- Assist training crew members on proper safety/quality standards.
- Maintain issued equipment and report deficiencies as needed.
Experience and Education:
- 0-2 years Telecommunications experience
- High school diploma, general education degree (G.E.D.), or related trade school education
- Valid driver’s license with a driving record that meets Company requirements.
Competencies/ Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and team player attitude.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment while adhering to the set schedule.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Ability to travel away from home, including weekends.
- Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions, if working outside.
