- Troubleshooting: When equipment malfunctions or experiences technical issues, Field Service Engineers are responsible for diagnosing the problem and implementing solutions. This requires strong problem-solving skills, technical knowledge, and the ability to work under pressure. A strong understanding of PLC's and VFD is a plus.
- Repairs: Field Service Engineers are often tasked with repairing equipment that has experienced failures or breakdowns. This may involve replacing defective components and adjusting settings.
- Customer Support: They provide technical assistance and support to customers, answering questions, addressing concerns, and offering guidance on the proper use and maintenance of equipment.
- Documentation: Field Service Engineers maintain accurate records of service activities, including service reports, work orders, and equipment documentation. This helps track the history of equipment maintenance and ensures compliance with regulations and standards.
- Training: They may conduct training sessions for customers or other employees on how to use and maintain equipment properly, as well as providing guidance on troubleshooting common issues.
