Field Superintendent

Job Description

We’re seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead all field operations for a large, multi-phase industrial data center development in Michigan City, Indiana—one of the largest active construction sites in the Midwest.

This is a hands-on leadership role overseeing daily site activities, coordinating hundreds of subcontractors, and ensuring safety, quality, and scheduling excellence. The Superintendent will serve as the field’s central leader, partnering closely with our on site Project Management team to drive production, communication, and accountability.

What You’ll Do

• Lead all day-to-day field operations on a 67-acre, high-volume data center site (300–800 workers).
• Direct and coordinate subcontractors and trades across MEP, civil, structural, and vertical scopes.
• Maintain a strong, visible presence on-site—driving safety, quality, and schedule performance.
• Collaborate with the Project Manager to forecast resources, budgets, and logistics.
• Ensure compliance with design specifications, company standards, and safety protocols.
• Conduct site meetings, safety walks, and progress updates with internal and client teams.
• Mentor and develop Assistant Superintendents and field staff.
• Coordinate with third-party scheduling, safety, and reporting partners to ensure alignment.

What You’ll Bring

• 5+ years of Superintendent experience on large-scale commercial or industrial projects (data center experience a plus).
• Proven ability to manage 200+ field personnel or multiple subcontractor teams simultaneously.
• Deep understanding of MEP systems, utilities, and complex site logistics.
• OSHA 30 certification and Bluebeam proficiency .
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field .
