Telecom Field Technician II
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of telecom field experience, including installing, testing, or turning up telecom equipment
- Strong understanding of SONET, TDM, DWDM, and IP/Ethernet
- Hands-on experience using OTDR
- Familiarity with data centers, fiber work, shelf installs, and fiber troubleshooting
- Experience working with circuit speeds of 1G, 10G, 100G, and 400G
- Proficient with test and measurement tools, including:
- Optical Power Meter
- Digital Multimeter
- Fiber Identifier
- Fiber Scope
- Ability to pass an MVR check
- Valid state-issued driver’s license

Nice to Have
- DC power experience (majority of equipment is DC; some AC)
- Shelf experience, including rack-and-stack (huge plus)
- Experience with RFC2544, RFC349 (TrueSpeed), iPerf, and Y.1564
- Active or prior security clearance
