Compensation: $24.00 - $30.00 Hourly + Full Benefits

Job Summary:
As a Fielder I, II, or III, you will be responsible for collecting and documenting field conditions, validating aerial and underground routes, and supporting engineering teams with accurate field data. You will conduct site inspections, identify route opportunities, and provide critical information for network design and construction. In this role, your customers are Congruex engineering and construction teams, and you will contribute to project success through accurate fielding, quality documentation, and safe execution.

Key Responsibilities (Including, but not limited to):
• Collect relevant pole information and accurately document measurements, placements, and field conditions
• Perform utility pole identification, inspection, and classification, including attachment heights and clearance validation
• Conduct underground and buried cable surveys to determine existing and proposed fiber routes
• Inspect construction work, fiber placement, and contractor performance for compliance and quality
• Take photos, create hand-drawn sketches, and upload field notes, files, and images for engineering review
• Attend field meetings with clients, contractors, and local agencies while maintaining professional communication
• Additional responsibilities within functional scope based on business needs

Required Qualifications:

Education, Licensing, and Certifications
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record

Experience
• 1–5+ years of experience in telecommunications, engineering, construction, or related industries
• Experience with aerial and underground fiber optic network environments

Skills and Abilities
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to read, interpret, and document field conditions accurately
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and Google Earth
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to adapt to changing schedules and field priorities
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Ability to quickly learn project management systems and new technologies

Qualifications:
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics
• Knowledge of telecommunications engineering standards, Make-Ready Construction, and fiber optic design practices

Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand, walk, stoop, squat, bend, and look upward for extended periods
• Work performed outdoors in all weather conditions and uneven terrain
• Ability to drive for extended periods and travel regularly to various markets
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and MVR

Leveling Guidelines:

Fielder I
• Beginner-level understanding of OSP telecom concepts and field engineering
• Requires mentorship and training to complete inspections and recommendations

Fielder II
• Strong understanding of engineering concepts and field processes
• Can independently complete most inspections and provide recommendations with limited guidance

Fielder III
• Advanced knowledge of OSP telecom concepts, field engineering, and construction alignment
• Capable of independently handling complex sites, advanced recommendations, and assisting with training
