Fiber Optic Splicer Duties:

• Assemble and install fiber optic cables
• Test fiber optic cables for proper performance
• Splice fiber optic cables using fusion splicing
• Troubleshoot and repair fiber optic cables
• Read blueprints, schematics, and diagrams to determine installation requirements
• Calibrate and adjust equipment as needed Maintain records of work performed

Fiber Optic Splicer Skills:

• Experience in splicing and terminating single-mode and multimode fiber optic cables
• Knowledge of fusion splicing and OTDR testing
• Ability to interpret and analyze test results
• Ability to read, interpret, and work from blueprints, schematics, and diagrams

Fiber Optic Splicer Requirements:

• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• Understanding of fiber optic systems and components
• Proficiency in splicing and related operations
• Knowledge of safety standards and procedures

Personal Traits:

• Detail-oriented
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Able to work with minimal supervision
