Enterprise Electrical is looking for a skilled Electrical Foreman to manage field teams on a Mission Critical Data Center project based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. This position plays a vital role in guaranteeing that our field crews perform their work safely, efficiently, and according to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess at least 7 years of experience in commercial electrical construction, with a proven history of leading teams on mission critical / data center projects. As a Foreman, your responsibilities will include coordinating daily operations, supervising apprentices and journeymen, enforcing safety protocols, and ensuring adherence to all codes, drawings, and specifications.

Standard Schedule: 5/10s + 1/8 (5 days at 10 hours and 1 day at 8 hours each week)

Project Duration:1 year+ with additional steady work.

Daily Per Diem: $120 (Paid daily, 7 days a week)

Retention Bonus: An additional $5.00 per hour

Foreman Sign-On Bonus: $1,500 (Disbursed 30 days following the start date)

Responsibilities

Field Leadership & Supervision

  • Supervise and lead journeymen, apprentices, and helpers on active data center projects
  • Assign daily work, manpower, and priorities based on schedule and project needs
  • Enforce productivity, workmanship, and safety expectations across crews
  • Mentor and develop field personnel, ensuring proper task execution and growth

Data Center / Mission-Critical Execution

  • Oversee installation of electrical systems including:
    • Power distribution
    • Switchgear, transformers, UPS, and PDUs
    • Conduit and cable tray systems
    • Grounding and bonding for mission-critical environments
    • Coordinate work in electrical rooms, data halls, and support spaces
    • Maintain cleanliness and compliance in sensitive data center areas (white space / gray space)

Safety & Compliance

  • Enforce OSHA, NEC, NFPA 70E, and company safety policies at all times
  • Lead daily JHAs, toolbox talks, and site safety planning
  • Stop unsafe work and correct hazards immediately
  • Ensure lockout/tagout and energized work procedures are followed

Planning, Coordination & Reporting

  • Read and interpret drawings, one-lines, specs, and schedules
  • Coordinate with superintendents, project managers, QA/QC, safety, and other trades
  • Track daily manpower, production, and material usage
  • Communicate constraints, delays, or scope changes proactively

Quality Control

  • Ensure installations meet drawings, specifications, and inspection standards
  • Support inspections, testing, and commissioning activities Address rework, punch list items, and corrective actions promptly

Requirements

  • State Journeyman or Master Electrician License (required where applicable)
  • OSHA 30 (OSHA 10 minimum)
  • NFPA 70E certification
  • Valid driver’s license
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • State-recognized electrical apprenticeship completion
  • 6+ years of commercial electrical experience required
  • 2+ years in a foreman or lead role
  • Prior data center or mission-critical project experience strongly

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of NEC and commercial electrical codes
  • Proven leadership and crew management ability
  • Ability to plan work, sequence tasks, and manage manpower efficiently
  • Experience with large-scale power distribution and electrical rooms
  • Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable working extended hours, nights, or weekends as project demands

  • Hand and power tools
  • Conduit benders and installation equipment
  • Electrical testing equipment
  • Lifts, ladders, and scaffolding
  • PPE including arc-flash gear
  • Field documentation tools (daily reports, schedules, drawings)

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

  • Active construction sites and data center environments
  • Frequent walking, standing, climbing, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Exposure to electrical hazards, noise, dust, and varying temperatures
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors depending on project phase
